IBM AND TSA FORM GLOBAL STRATEGIC ALLIANCE TO MARKET E-BUSINESS TRANSACTION PROCESSING SOLUTIONS FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY

Segrate, 29 Settembre 2000 - Ibm (Nyse: Ibm) and Transaction System Architects (Nasdaq: Tsai) announced a global strategic alliance to market comprehensive e-business solutions in transaction management, global payments and consumer e-payment processing for the financial services industry. Combined Ibm and Tsa solutions help to increase return on existing investments in hardware, software and training, and improve the speed and quality of international payments processing and messaging, transaction management, routing and processing. Tsa´s consumer e-payment solutions and high-value payment systems on Ibm servers are currently used by some of the world´s largest financial institutions and retailers. Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will jointly market and sell Ocm24, Tsa´s e-payment transaction processing solution on Ibm S/390 enterprise servers, and Mts -- The Money Transfer System -- a global payment processing and risk management system running on the Rs/6000 enterprise server and Aix operating system. Additional solutions and services from Ibm and Tsa will be available for retail point-of-sale, automated teller machine and wholesale banking applications, and will include Ibm middleware and Tsa solutions. On sales of Ocm24 and Mts to all new customers, Tsa will lead with S/390, Rs/6000 and Db2 as platforms of choice. Ibm will provide consulting, customization and integration services for joint Ibm and Tsa solutions. In return, developers commit to lead with Ibm´s middleware, server platforms, and services.
